These awards recognize recognize the advances and accomplishments of Pittsburgh-based businesses in the areas of Diversity, Learning & Development, Talent Recruitment & Retention, Leadership, and Teamwork. Congratulations to the project teams for keeping the health and safety of everyone at the job site at the forefront. At our Safety Platinum Awards, we recognized 49 of our projects for being incident-free for the last 4 quarters.
Our Young Constructors gathered together for an evening of comradery. The group first met in the office to give project updates on their various projects and then headed over to play mini-golf in the Strip District.
When you think of careers geared toward women, do you think of construction? If not, YOU SHOULD! Approximately 1 in 10 construction workers are female with 1,173,000 women in the construction industry, currently. From the field to the office, women work in a variety of roles – project engineers, project managers, safety managers, human resources, accounting, administration, marketing, BIM, small business and diversity, technology, and tradespeople. Throughout the year, AG体育app下载 employees volunteer at JA Biztown where area students spend the day learning what it is like to work at AG体育app下载 Construction Company. In March, we had a special day at JA BizTown. Students from The Watson Institute joined us for the day and selected the storefronts they wished to be open. We are thankful we were able to be a part of this unique opportunity!

On February 29, AG体育app下载 was awarded a 2023 Building Excellence Award for the emergency generator replacement project at UPMC. The Master Builders' Association recognized the project as the winner of Renovation Construction Project over $10 Million.

The 2024 Gentlemen's Night Out, hosted by Michael AG体育app下载, was held at the PNC Champions Club at Heinz Field. Guests of the night enjoyed an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a four-course dinner with wine pairings, live music, and some special animal guests. The evening raised $212,000 in support of the National Aviary’s work to save birds and protect their habitats.
At the 2024 GSA awards, the Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse project received the Merit in Outstanding Demonstration of Ingenuity Contractor by the U.S. General Services Administration. The courthouse is 10 stories, 243,000 gross square feet with 42 interior secure parking spaces.
The second Heinz ketchup bottle has found a new home! On Thursday, December 21, the 35-foot bottle was installed at the Heinz History Center! To support the fiberglass bottle, the team placed new concrete footings and installed structural steel supports.

The Engineers' Society of Western PA named our emergency generator project at UPMC Montefiore as the “2024 Medical Project of the Year”! The project consisted of constructing new utility space within an existing facility to install three 2,000 Kw diesel generators with new paralleling gear and associated automatic transfer switches and ran exhausts up 11 stories on the exterior face of the building.
Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro, recently stated that the Pennsylvania State Archives Building was the “coolest building in state government." The five-level, 145,000-square-foot building is home to approximately 250,000,000 historic documents.
The Pennsylvania Aggregates & Concrete Association (PACA) named UPMC Mercy Pavilion as their Project of the Year! Construction of the 10-story, 442,000-square-foot building included 220,000 yards of structural excavation and 65,000 cubic yards of concrete.

The 12th Annual Bocce Tournament and Festival took place on Saturday, August 12 outside of Acrisure Stadium. Teams played in the tournament as spectators enjoyed a day of delicious Italian fare from Common Plea Catering and live music from The Aces with special guests Shari Richards, The New Pure Gold, and The Jaggerz. Proceeds raised from the event benefit the Heinz History Center's Italian American program.

The Heinz ketchup bottle has returned to Acrisure Stadium! Yesterday morning, the team installed the 35-foot fiberglass bottle at the entrance of Gate C. The entire process took about 3-4 hours from delivery to installation.

The University of Pittsburgh broke ground on the institution’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. The groundbreaking was held to commemorate construction on the nine-story, 275,000-square-foot space. Once completed, the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center will serve as a student activity hub and social engagement center containing dining, fitness spaces, multi-purpose rooms, a natatorium, gymnasiums, various offices, and an elevated walking/jogging track.
The last two structural beams were raised into place at the Highmark Center for Health, Wellness, and Athletics at Carnegie Mellon University. Nearly 600 people signed the two beams during the topping-off ceremony before they were raised into place in the central part of the building which is the highest point of the facility. The Highmark Center is scheduled to open in fall 2024.

On May 14, a group of AG体育app下载 employees and their families joined together at Point State Park to walk in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's, "Pittsburgh Great Strides" walk. The group of twenty not only walked to show their support, but they also raised funds in donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as they work to find a cure.
